While artists have long turned to themes centered around nature to explore the concepts of peace, tranquility and the oasis, this creative dialogue is taking place with a new set of tools, forged to navigate the challenges of urban living. With over 54% of the global population in cities, the expectation to produce and disseminate information instantaneously is ubiquitous. Facing the demands of modern day hyper-productivity, what does the urban oasis look like now that we’re more likely to stumble upon a fully packed subway car than an idyllic hillside? This group exhibition featured work by artists Patrick Eugéne, Josana Blue and Julian Rapp.
